First week in Esbjerg for Søster Holbrook and it is where her Daddy served the last 4 months of his mission in Denmark.

Yep... It is true Søster Holbrook is now serving in Esbjerg and that is where her Daddy ended his mission in Denmark and it was his last area. He severed there for four months and now she is there to share in his joy. What a treat that is and sweet thing to happen to her and him.

They finally gave in and could not last any longer. Søster Holbrook's favorite shoes and in and done for. Now she will have to find some new ones.

She is not looking too happy about new shoes. Change is hard but she will make it through this one too ;o)

One last treat with Søster Nelson before she boarding the train that is taking her to Esbjerg.

And she is traveling to the other side of Denmark.

This week's email from Søster Holbrook:

Hey everyone!

Last week I transferred to Esbjerg!!! It is a fishing city all the way west on Jylland! So I went from coast to coast! The members are AWESOME. I am going to love my time here. Especially when it gets SUPER green later in the spring!

My new companion is Sister Baird! She actually fly over to Denmark with me! She is a very good missionary! We get along great and actually work together VERY well!!!!! She is awesome. :)

Our strongest and most positive investigator is Kevin. He is doing well and is actually on date! The only thing holding him back from getting his answer about the Book of Mormon is this responsibility he feels that he has in his own church. (he belongs to a small church of 15 people that are all 60+). He has been invited by missionaries in the past to make a plan for "what to do if the Book of Mormon is true" and he has had a hard time finding a solution. This week Sister Baird and I felt inspired to invite him to teach (with help from the missionaries) the few members left in his church! He said that if he gets his answer he will! Because of course he wants to bring the people he loves to the truth as well! Problem solved. #preachinginthesynagogues. :) We hadn't planned to ask him to be baptized, but as we were having this conversation I opened my mouth to say something and out came "Kevin, you now have a plan to help your church and feel like you're not just abandoning them. so nothing should be holding you back from getting an answer. Will you prepare yourself to be baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority from God and be baptized on April 9th?" WHAT???? It surprised both Sister Baird and I!!! And the random date that I said is a Sunday, which is the day they typically baptize people here in Esbjerg! It was super special because earlier in the week I prayed to God to have Him fill my mouth with His words, because I don't know if I have ever had an experience where I opened my mouth and it was just filled. Well, God hears our prayers and answers them. I am excited for Kevin. I really feel strongly that he will make this date, despite all the concerns we still face. We fasted for him and some of our other investigators and we came up with some pretty inspired direction on where to go with them. God is good!!!

The work is going to hasten here in Esbjerg and I look forward to being a part of it!!!

Love,

Søster Holbrook

My Guess is she is still LOVING to bake and is doing it on the mission .

Søster Holbrook and Søster Baird. They look grreat together!

I think I can say that Søster Holbrookhad an awesome first week in Esbjerg. She met some good people and enjoyed seeing new things. She is walking in her Daddy's footsteps and how sweet is that. We are grateful for the gospel and all that it brings to our family.
