Great P-day, Meeting an "old" family friend and seeing people she love.

Søster Holbrook is doing wonderful in Denmark and she is LOVING the mission life. She has this week again done some pretty amazing things and become even closer to the Savior. He is changing her life more and more every week and of course also the life of the people she meets.

You gotta LOVE the "Kristus". It was originally created in Denmark and is now in MANY places in our church.
Four sweet Sister missionaries and the world's tallest man.

 Sister missionary fun :o)

This is Zebina and she stayed with us for a while when she was over here as a foreign exchange student in High School. Søster Holbrook was just a very young girl back then but they LOVED each other. So sweet to see them together again and this time in Denmark ;o)

Four lovely Sister missionaries in a beautiful Danish old church.

Very Famous Danish monument. "Den Lille Havfrue/The Little Mermaid"

  Learning to make hard candy.

It is ALL about the dogs as you can see.

An other Famous place in Denmark is one of the many Danish Castles that the Queen has. This one is where she lives most of the year and is called Amalienborg Castle.

This is 2 of the Queen's guard they make sure she is always safe. Pretty neat uniforms right ?

WOW... Another famous place in Copenhagen . Søster Holbrook saw a lot of those place this week. It is called Nyhavn.

Happy faces and a great selfie ;o)

Søster Holbrook and Søster Nelson has been asked to do a new Facebook campaign for the mission and here they are with the couple that is also doing it. They were showing the other missionaries how it works.

AND she is with her again..... Sister Ludlow and she is enjoying the time to just visit. Some really cute sisters in this picture.

A wonderful week for Søster Holbrook and she is learning and growing so much. It is great to see and we are so glad she is serving the Lord.

The joy of being a biking Sister missionary.Good to have a Mormor that can fix things for you!!

I LOVE this picture of Søster Nelson, she looks so sweet here.

Søster Nelson and Søster Holbrook are doing a new thing on Facebook for the church.

Email from Søster Holbrook this week:

Hey everyone!

YAY I'M STAYING ON AMAGER!!!!!!! I am SO glad I get another transfer here! I love the members and our friends and Sister Nelson! This past week was a good one. Sister Nelson and I are looking forward to a new transfer filled with new opportunities.

I am also super happy because I get to see M's dåb!!! He set a date for the 25th of February and is preparing so well! He got a blessing on Sunday to help him quit smoking and he texted us today and said that he has had NO desire to smoke! Miracles are real!!!!!!!!! :) He said he just can't wrap his mind around it but that he is super happy! A-L also came again to church this week. We think that the spiritual side of our church may finally be winning over the social side of her folke kirke church. :)

This week I have been working on diligence. Luke 17:8-10 talks about how faithful people can be unprofitable servants if they only do that which is their duty. Some days, we are unprofitable, and it's not because we're not faithful, or because we're not working hard! But maybe it's because there is still room to improve and still more to give. I am going to work on going the extra mile this week.

Love you guys!

Søster Holbrook

Not wanting to have her picture taken. But lunch is great with Mormor and Morfar!

She is BEAUTIFUL!!

Three wonderful friends- they have shared many great hours together. I think they got a gift and those birds look pretty wonderful.

What a great week for Søster Holbrook. She is loving life and it living it head on. We are so grateful for her example and for all she is doing and learning in Denmark. What a blessing it is to have a missionary out and especially in Denmark--- The home country.

Homemade sushi and fun outside another great week in Denmark for Søster Holbrook.

The time flies by so fast and Søster Holbrook has already been in Denmark for 4 whole months she is loving the work and the people. She learning many fun things and meeting many wonderful people.

Meditating.... I am guessing and that is very good for your soul to be in tune with your body!

These 2 young ladies look like they have a BLAST together.

 Bottom up please :o)

I have always loved the Swan and it makes it even better that it is Denmark's national bird. So beautiful.

We made sushi this week with a Japanese convert!

I love Sushi and now Søster Holbrook is eating it too.. Pretty Impressive.

Søster Nelson is looking SUPER sweet here. LOVE it!!

Email from Søster Holbrook this week better than last week where we got one line :o)

Hey everyone!

This week has been great!

Sister nelson and I have been asked to head a new facebook finding initiative the church is implementing in missionary work. We are reaching out to young adults and helping them invite their friends to "come and see." We've been working hard on it all week and look forward to seeing the fruits.

M said yes to dåb(baptism)!! He knows (and wants) that he needs to quit smoking before he is baptized, so he wanted to talk to his AA sponser and see if there is a plan he can make to help him. We read to him Alma 26:12, and he loved it! He had never really thought about taking his addictions to God for help, but is excited to try. Our testimonies that God can and will help him do all things really touched him. A-L and S came to church this week! S met a man that was visiting and talked to him for a long time. He was super happy after church and told us "I think I was meant to come today."

Sister Nelson and I had are best week (as far as numbers go) this week so we have been super blessed! We have climbed some mountains together, which is sometimes uncomfortable but very rewarding. Hopefully we will have many more! Transfer calls are this week, and I am hoping we will be together one more transfer.

I read this in "Our Heritage" this week and couldn't help but feel like this still rings true today: "We saw by vision, the church of God, a thousand times larger; ... the world being entirely ignorant of the testimony of the prophets and without knowledge of what God was about to do." A sad truth is that a majority of the people we meet here in Denmark (and anywhere really) are so completely unaware of God and His great purposes. I can't feel anything but blessed to have the gospel and to be able to share it with people everyday. I love everything about His work.

Må gud være med jer!/May God be with you.

Søster Holbrook

The view on our bike ride home from district meeting. :)

All in all a wonderful week for Søster Holbrook. These young Sister Missionaries are working hard and loving serving together! What a treat it is for them to be together. I am so glad they have gotten this chance to learn and grow into even better children of God.

Søster Holbrook and it is dark outside but her spirit is high.

So January in Denmark is VERY dark (the sun sets about 3:30 PM), cold and often rainy so the weather is not so fun. But Søster Holbrook is doing great and her spirit is high. She is loving the mission life and the people that she is meeting. She is contacting a lot every day and she is not even scared. Keep this up SISTER ;o)

See I told you it is dark and cold outside ;o)

Email from Søster Holbrook this week:

Hey Everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with family, friends, laughter, love and the Savior!

I am doing well and I am super looking forward to a new year! Celebrating new year in Denmark was was SO UNREAL AND AMAZING. The fireworks were EVERYWHERE and they went nonstop from 11-2ish. well I don't actually know when they ended, but they were still going strong when we went to bed, so... yeah, honestly sounded like world war three and probably the coolest new years I have ever had! Of course Sister Nelson and I were just in the safety of our apartment, but we still got the full affects. There are some benefits to living in downtown Copenhagen. :)

M is doing very well! He came early to church last Sunday so we could squeeze one more lesson in before he left for Sweden (he'll be there about a week) literally right after church! He is so amazing and is so prepared to receive the restored gospel! It has been a huge blessing seeing him change and seeing his faith grow! He now believes there is a God and he says that he really feels like what we are teaching him is true and benefits his life. :) We still have a couple of other friends (investigators) in the works, but it looks like we will be doing even more finding than usual to boost the number of people in our teaching pool. Honestly? I am excited.

As we start a new year filled with new adventures, I want to share a friendly reminder from Neal A. Maxwell, "And in these days, being of good cheer is part of being valiant in the testimony of Jesus. Wherever you find yourself this coming year, remember that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you and are ALWAYS there for you. "

Love,

Søster Holbrook

AND she is so creative even here in Denmark.

 AND of course MORE ice-cream!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR from Søster Nelson.

AND also HAPPY NEW YEAR from Søster Holbrook. I just LOVE her face she is so REAL!

This is Denmark at New Year so MANY fireworks!!

Such cute Sister Missionaries here look "almost" like normal teenagers.

She is still BEAUTIFUL as ever. We love you Søster Holbrook.

Another year and this one will be a FULL year in Denmark for her . We LOVE her, we MISS her and we are so grateful she is our daughter. Keep on Keeping on :o)
